Monday, September 22, 2008 on friday i was wondering what to do with myself after dinner, so i plonked down in front of the tv. turning on the tv at the turn of the hour can be either good or bad, meaning it could either be the start of something nice or the end of it. but anyway this time it was something good, because on axn Mirrormask was just starting. i was wishing it would be animated, because neil gaiman is not exactly considerate to easily-scared people like me, and somehow scary cartoons are not as scary as scary live-action movies. but it wasn't. not exactly, but maybe somewhere in between, not in the who framed roger rabbit way but something closer to sky captain and the world of tomorrow. and it was a pretty good adaptation, besides the fact that i missed the few seconds in which valentine betrayed helena, which i wanted to see. and then on saturday when i turned on the tv it happened to be showing again, but valentine was already in the future being a waiter, which meant they had already escaped and i had missed that part again. oh well. posted by gruff at 1:01 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
