rui and des flew off last night. glenda and i had planned to reach the airport at 7, but due to unforeseen circumstances we reached at 740 and so only had about 20 minutes to say goodbye. you could probably say goodbye a thousand times in 20 minutes, but goodbye is never just goodbye, and i had not just travelled across the country to say one word. so they strapped on their extremely large backpacks and trudged through customs, and thus were the first casualties of The Summit: Departure. or if you look at it from the other side of the glass, The Summit: Left Behind. then, because uni wanted to tour T3, we headed there for dinner, over which chriskang expounded on The Shelf Life of Girls (Boys Have No Expiry Date), and the merits of 30 Rock. the former being a theory limited only to university undergrads, and therefore only of slight importance, but which nevertheless invites much criticism, only because such an imbalanced projection cannot be believed in for the good of humankind unless it remains standing after being shot and shot again. posted by gruff at 9:07 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
