so i have been watching Claymore, which is pretty good stuff complete with sharp art and a substantial plot and even some clever humour. my only hope is that it will not end up like Samurai Deeper Kyo with an anti-climactic ending which wastes all the suspense. but then again, after 24 episodes perhaps there has been a bit too much of severed limbs and pretty girls turning into 化け物. it's getting a bit funny. and this whole thing about monsters. there's even a lion king hahaha (who was recently cut into many chunks) and random dinosaur-like creatures. i can just imagine everyone, including my younger self, cringing. but it's all different when they can fight and say cool things and aren't bumbling around like pokemons, isn't it. anyway we know i'm a sucker for swords and swordfights and cool anime people so i suppose i will just laugh at the lame bits and continue glueing my eyes to the remaining 2 episodes. without having seen the ending, i would say it ranks up there with Kenshin and Samurai7. of course i might have said that about Kyo before it ended too, but i think this will wrap itself up more satisfactorily. as you can see this is the inevitable new-anime-that-i-am-watching post that appears whenever the holidays come round. i think by now people will stop bothering to remind me that anime characters aren't real, no matter how good looking they are. posted by gruff at 9:26 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
