the other day i was driving through an hdb estate and i saw a man putting out little magazine-paper boxes of food at random places around the carpark. this has led me to the conclusion that every estate has a cat man. maybe there is a Cat Man Recruitment Agency (CMRA) in some far-flung corner of the country, folding magazine paper into little boxes and issuing torchlights for Finding Cats, manuals for When Cats Fight and schedules for When To Feed The Cats. their aim is to have One Cat Man In Every Estate and they probably have some sort of motto to do with cats and proliferation. they also probably hold monthly or quarterly meetings to track the man:cat ratio and constantly improve themselves. based on visual observations there is also probably a minimum age to qualify as Cat Man. but because it is such a secret agency, you don't look for them - they look for you. as usual, it is bright and early and nobody is awake. happy birthday, pea (: posted by gruff at 9:22 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
