it's been almost four years since that morning where we met, in the crowded porch of the old rj, amidst the noisy, pushing crowd, in front of the notice board that notified us we had the same form teacher. when yonghui exclaimed, eh your form teacher is mctay! and i was brave and friendly enough to turn around and say, oh you are in so3l too? and you smiled and said, yeah, hi i'm glenda. actually i'm not sure whether you introduced yourself first or i did, but ok it's not important. and then on the first day of school when i was standing in our class row in the netball court you came trooping over with yonghui and identified me and stood next to me. and although now things have changed and we are no longer schoolgirls in green and white getting stopped by you-know-who outside the toilets to tuck in our shirts, it's okay. because amidst the noisy, pushing crowd which was there before and is still here now (only consisting of different faces), you are still spanner and i am still mao, and we will find each other like we did that day. why we have such names i do not know. happy birthday. posted by gruff at 9:00 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
