yesterday was matric day, so i went down with jason, mark and jenny to do my part at the cf booth (: hurhur. over the one and a half hours that i was there smiling at random people and talking to them, i realised that i actually do know a reasonable amount about the organisation i am a part of! despite the fact that yue en has tried to get people to hammer the larger vision into my head, which they have not done. there are things that i cannot see simply by being told, or by memorising, but which i can understand by experiencing them and thinking about my experiences and what they mean (although being told does help). there are also things which i will not agree with unless someone can show me that they are the truth. other good things about having gone yesterday include seeing chrisyeoh, isaac and eunice, who introduced me to The Triple Helix Society of Science, Society and Law. sounds nerdy and insidious, and therefore very interesting. posted by gruff at 11:52 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
