Saturday, June 30, 2007 today in class, because i am a law student, i was asked a very difficult question. why is the GST going to be 7% from tomorrow? i say, i don't know. i don't know why i have to pay an extra forty cents for a rude waitress and lousy food. i don't know why i have to pay an extra forty cents so the HUGE companies whose bosses earn TRILLIONS can pay lower taxes to operate in singapore. i don't know why i have to pay an extra forty cents and then let the shop pretend they are doing me a favour by WAIVING the charge. i don't know why i have to pay an extra forty cents for something i already pay twenty bucks for. i really don't know. posted by gruff at 9:43 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
