this morning i have been impressed with the immense benefit of being on leave from work. instead of waking up at 710, i get to wake up at 745. HOORAY. haha i think i am very cut out for the working life. anyway, everybody is at law camp and this has resulted in a corresponding decrease in the number of people online. i will take the opportunity to say that I MISS YOU MICHELLE TAN YOU HAVE LEFT ME TO FIGHT THE PIRANHAS AND THE CROCODILES ALONE! and then this iris and huimin, who have decided to be MIA again. so much for eh men in white let's watch it okay! 6 june and everyone just disappears. and i bet huimin the movie-watching-abandoner (refer to some post i wrote in sec 4) has already watched it. more seriously, over the past few days i have learnt the value of forgiveness, of forgiving and being forgiven. it's a lot to do with pride, i think. the one in the position to forgive finds it so hard to forgive, because he's giving up his superior place, because he feels he has been wronged, because he thinks he has a right to be angry. and the one needing forgiveness is just too proud to believe that, or too proud to admit it. the only thing is that nobody is ever always in the same position. sometimes others hurt us, but sometimes we hurt others. and there's not enough forgiveness going round here. posted by gruff at 8:51 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
