saturday night. the stars were out. i was in. the library. doing my word-reducing thing again. it's pretty nice when people drop me random encouraging messages. when i'm old and out of a job, i'll provide encouraging message services. others will be tearing out their hair trying to satisfy a word limit, and i'll be the one dropping random messages to cheer them on. how exciting. yet another weekend burnt, for lawr. the weather was awesome, last night. if only botanical gardens had wireless@sg, then we wouldn't have been stuck among the books. we could have had a picnic, on the rolling dewy grass, with our laptops shining in the dark. food, without having to stop chewing every time the librarian walks past. and i'd bring my dog, who incidentally is called fruspy, and he could make friends with the attention-seeking swans. except shirin would have to stay far away from him because he is extremely licky. and the dew might get into our laptops and spoil them. and the light drizzle might turn into storm clouds of thunder and rain. not to mention lightning, which would short-circuit our laptops and cause us to lose our unsaved work. and we might drink too much, stagger down the road and get knocked down by a mercedes with too many stickers on its windscreen. and we wouldn't even be able to sue anyone. posted by gruff at 9:10 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
