this week i have had two questions on my mind. one, do toothpastes have expiry dates? which is an extremely insignificant question compared with the second one, which is, is it possible to be happy and sad at the same time? because sometimes the exact thing which makes you sad makes you happy, which is an oxymoronic thing. and it's not just slightly happy or slightly sad it's delight and despair and they're both here hand in hand knocking on my door. and they're holding a party to which all the opposites you can think of are invited. opposites. it's such an exciting thing when opposite things come together and you see that they complement. like bio and lit. lions and lambs. but all it takes is for the lion to taste a bit of blood, and then he's pushed over the edge and it's lamb chops for dinner. what a situation to be in. the lamb could stay and wait for the inevitable day when he meets the frying pan. or he could leave and step into the great unknown where there are many other lions which won't be like the one he knew before. but aren't all lions the same, when it comes down to it? what a mess. and when i'm confused there's such a temptation to sweep everything under the carpet and let it grow mould while i go out and have fun. throw caution to the wind. but one day the winds will change and it'll all come back to haunt me. what a mess. anyway, shuyu yes i know i don't look the type but :) i am discerning. haha. posted by gruff at 10:24 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
