raffles marina at sunset last night was a most pretty place. the sky, blue with a pinkish tinge and scattered clouds of cotton, a great brilliant ball of orange dropping toward the sea, and spikes of masts sticking up in front. all that, both right way up and upside down sitting on the water. there was a wedding going on at the lawn and a nice breeze blowing through. and i think i want a wedding like that too! okay that might be looking a bit far. but there's no way i would ever want some cold hotel ballroom with disco-glaring lights and funny waiters that come out in formation to serve funny dishes of too much food. and chinese photographers in multi-pocketed vests shouting at guests spoiling my wedding. my photographer's gonna be a friend, or family. oh and no big puffy lacy dresses please. and no microphones or loudhailers. and i have to personally know everyone who i invite. and i also happen to have promos starting tomorrow for which such fantasizing will get me nowhere. posted by gruff at 11:22 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------
